From the Bride:

If you had asked me when I was younger where I saw myself settling down, Florida would not have been my answer. However, after receiving my dream job offer here, everything changed. I moved to Jupiter, Florida in 2014, knowing only one friend from high school. Little did I know her boyfriend’s best friend and roommate was my future husband. Taylor and I met soon after I arrived and connected immediately. However, I was adamant I was not looking to date, and more focused on making close friendships in a place I was so new too. That did not stop Taylor from asking me on 5 consecutive dates until I finally gave in. After that, everything changed. We were inseparable. We were both foodies, enjoyed being by the water, and traveling. We moved in together about 6 months after that, and got our fur baby, Mahi, a half red half yellow Labrador retriever, who we both absolutely adore. If youask either of us the one downfall to our magical wedding, it was that Mahi wasn’t there. (The venue only allowed service dogs). Although we do pretty much everything together, Taylor knew the planning would be my thing. I am a HospitalityInterior Designer, specializing in high-end hotels. So, although I was not one of those girls who had a pinterest board of her wedding growing up, as you could imagine, very quickly after getting engaged, I had a board and multiple presentations. I knew exactly what I wanted. However, what I didn’t know about at the time was Vizcaya, a dream venue. It had everything I wanted and more. I told all my friends and family that hadn’t been, if I were to blindfold you and put you there, you would think you were in Italy. Between the Italian Renaissance gardens, Tuscan architecture-Inspired estate, and the stone barge on Biscayne bay, it had it all.

My style and taste has always gravitated towards rustic and contemporary, which was very much manifested through the floral, furniture, tent ceiling design, and table settings. I wanted everything to be natural and neutral, including the wedding party. The bridesmaids were in two different style sage green dresses, and the groomsmen in navy suits with sage ties and floral pocket squares. The idea was to accent the gardens and landscaping of the venue.
